Wind Advisory until 09:00AM Wednesday

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph. Localized gusts to 55 or 60 mph below Cajon Pass and in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures between 25 and 32 degrees, and as low as 22 degrees Wednesday morning.

* WHERE...The Inland Empire. Strongest winds in and near the foothills. Coldest temperatures in southern portions of the Inland Empire.

* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 9 AM PST Wednesday. For the Freeze Warning, from 10 PM PST this evening through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Difficult travel at times for high profile vehicles. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SAN BERNARDINO AND RIVERSIDE COUNTY VALLEYS-THE INLAND EMPIRE

Instructions:

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above- ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
