On Monday, January 27, 2020, at approximately 4:50 a.m., deputies from the Wasco Substation were dispatched to a robbery that had just occurred in the 2100 block of Highway 46. A victim reported a male subject wearing a ski-style mask entered the business and demanded money. The subject, later identified as 34-year-old Brandon King of Bakersfield, left the store after taking an item. A short time later, King was located and detained at another nearby business without resistance or delay. A ski-style mask was located near where King was taken into custody.
King was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for robbery and wearing a mask for an unlawful purpose.
