Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Isaac Sanders, 31, of Newark, who is wanted for an aggravated assault that occurred on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

2nd Precinct Police Officers responded to an area residence on a call of an aggravated assault. A woman had been strangled by a man she knows following a quarrel.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Isaac Sanders as a suspect in this incident and have secured a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Aggravated Assault Strangulation under the State’s Domestic Violence Laws.

Sanders is described as 5’6” tall and 160 lbs. He has a medium brown complexion, brown eyes and black hair. He also has a tattoo on his left arm bearing the words “Death Before Dishonor.”

While police are actively searching for Sanders, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him as part of their investigation.
