On January 19, 2020, Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office approved a 14 count Felony complaint against Jimmy Mitchell.  The charges include Home Invasion 1st Degree, 2 counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, 2 counts of Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder, 4 counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault), and 5 counts of Felony Firearm.  An arrest warrant has been issued.
 
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad sated, “This man is to be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who has any information on his whereabouts is asked to call Dearborn Police at (313) 943-2241. Family and friends are encouraged to assist.”
 
 
January 15, 2020
 
Dearborn, Mi. - On January 15, 2020, at approximately 3:00 am, the Dearborn Police responded to the 24000 block of Boston on report of a shooting.  Responding officers discovered that a 24-year-old male had been transported from the scene to an area hospital suffering from multiple gunshot wounds prior to their arrival.  The victim in this incident is currently listed in critical condition.
 
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to identify, gather evidence, and canvas the area for potential witnesses.
 
The Dearborn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance locating 25-year-old Jimmy L. Mitchell, 5’11”, 160 lbs., brown eyes and black hair. Jimmy Mitchell has been identified as a person of interest.  He is known to frequent Detroit, Hamtramck, and Dearborn Heights.  Mitchell is considered armed and dangerous.

The fact a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
 
Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “Safety is our top priority, and accordingly it is my hope and request that family and friends will encourage this subject to turn himself in.”
