Community meeting on future of land at Marshall Street Substation

Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and Councilman Ruben Ramos invite residents to a community meeting regarding future plans at the current site of the Marshall Street Substation. The meeting will take place on Thursday, January 30 at 6:30 pm at City Hall (94 Washington Street, basement conference room). As a part of PSE&G’s resiliency efforts, the Marshall Street Substation (2nd Street between Marshall Street and Harrison Street) will be consolidated with the Madison Street Substation (the block of 11st Street and Madison Street). As a result, the City will own the approximately one acre of land that was previously occupied and utilized by PSE&G at Marshall Street.

Residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback about what features or amenities they would like to see at this location.
