On January 18, 2020, at 3:21 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Beardsley Avenue in Oildale for a report of a victim of a shooting.
Deputies located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 33-year-old Roger Archer, Jr. of Bakersfield.
