Arrest in Mojave for Attempted Homicide
On January 16, 2020, at 12:27 p.m, Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies from the Mojave Substation responded to K Street and Shasta Street in Mojave for a report of vehicle hitting a pedestrian. The suspect fled in his vehicle, and the victim was transported to a hospital with major injuries. The investigation revealed the suspect intentionally hit the victim.
Deputies obtained a possible address for the suspect in Lancaster. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped the vehicle and detained the suspect. KCSO deputies responded to Lancaster and took custody of the suspect. 44-year-old Angel Palacio of Lancaster was booked into the Mojave Jail for attempted homicide and hit and run resulting in injury.
