New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (NYSEG) will be performing emergency transformer repairs this afternoon, Friday, January 17, 2020, on Market Street starting at approximately 2:00pm.  It is estimated these repairs could take up to 3 hours.  To ensure their safety, NYSEG employees will be shutting off power to the loop serviced by the effected transformer.  This power outage is anticipated to impact properties on the south side of Main Street (the even numbers) between Grand Street and the Otsego County Office Building and the entirety of South Main Street.  City Hall will be closing at 2:00pm.
 
The lack of power will impact telephone service to the Oneonta Public Safety Building.  In case of emergency, please call 911.  Non-emergency calls can be made to 607-343-3779.
