There is a known issue with the Rt 1 & Washington Rd traffic signal timing. NJDOT Enroute. Heavy traffic in the area 
There is an error in the timing of the traffic signal @ Route 1 & Washington Rd causing a severe traffic backup on Washington Rd. NJDOT has been advised and they are working on the issue. Please avoid the area if possible as there is heavy congestion in the area due to the issue.
