#PomonaPD - Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of $15k worth of Narcotics
On Wednesday, January 15th, the Pomona Police Department Special Investigations Unit conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. During contact with the male driver, it was revealed he had never been issued a driver’s license. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located the driver, 22-year-old Miguel Pillado Ruiz of Pomona, to be in possession of 125 grams of heroin, approximately 125 Fentanyl pills, and more than $1,200.
The estimated street value for the seized narcotics is more than $15,000.
Miguel Pillado Ruiz was arrested and booked at the Pomona City Jail for the following charges:
VC 4000(a) (1) – Expired Registration
VC 12500 (a) – Unlicensed Driver
HS 11351 – Possession of a controlled substance for sale
HS 11352 (a) – Transportation of a controlled substance for sale
