An inmate at the Central Detention Center threw toilet water at a deputy's face

SUSPECT(S): Talesha Latrese Stevens, age 39
VICTIM(S): Deputy Sheriff
SUMMARY: On Tuesday January 14, 2020, a Deputy Sheriff at the Central Detention Center was attempting to give personal belongings and a mattress to Inmate Talesha STEVENS when Stevens threw an unknown liquid into the deputy's face. The liquid made contact with the deputy's face, mouth, eyes, nose, clothing and hands. The liquid was found to be toilet water. A criminal report for Gassing was takenand will be submitted to the District Attorney's Office. The Deputy was treated at a medical facilty for the exposure.
