DETAILS: Patrol units were detailed to the Target store for a female who was actively shoplifting. Prior to police arrival, the suspect attempted to leave the store and was detained by store Assets Protection. Investigation determined that Victoria James, who initially provided officers with a false name of “Linda Jones”, had concealed merchandise totaling $207.99 on her person and in her purse. James was also found to be in possession of a small plastic bag containing marijuana, marijuana cigarettes, and rolling papers. James was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS: Ptl. Cuomo was detailed to investigate a shoplifting from the night before where the following occurred: Three (3) black female suspects collectively filled a shopping cart full of clothing and then pushed it out of the store without paying for any of the items. They fled the scene in a silver Jeep.
On 12/07/19, Burlington Loss Prevention recognized one of the suspects from the shoplifting in the store. Ptl. Cuomo responded to the store and identified her as Tierra Cullers. Cullers was later charged with shoplifting and has a date pending at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS: Ptl. Hojnacki was detailed to the Target store for an employee theft. Investigation revealed that an employee of the store, Crystal McKinney, had selected several items which she then brought to the self-checkout registers. She scanned all of her items with the exception of a pair of headphones valued at $79.99. She was detained by store Assets Protection as she attempted to leave the store. McKinney was also found to have a warrant for her arrest from Ewing Twp. and another from Lawrence Twp. McKinney was charged with the Theft and released pending future Court dates in West Windsor, Ewing, and Lawrence.

DETAILS: Ptl. M. Erkoboni was detailed to a crash on Robbinsville-Edinburg Rd. involving Lawayne Moon who struck the rear of another vehicle. During the investigation, and with the assistance of Ptl. Cain (#52) from the Robbinsville Police Department, it was determined that Moon had been in possession of a glass pipe containing crack cocaine residue which he had discarded in an attempt to avoid detection. Moon was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS: Ptl. McQuade was detailed to a suspicious vehicle parked on Bayberry Dr. that had heavy front-end damage and two people asleep inside. Upon checking the vehicle’s Ohio registration, the registered owner, Daniel Thomas, was found to be a “Wanted Person” and possibly in the company of a “Missing” 14 year old female runaway. During the investigation, Thomas was identified and confirmed to be “Wanted”, and the other occupant of the vehicle was confirmed to be the missing juvenile. Thomas was found to be in possession of a loaded .177 caliber pellet handgun which was in the glove compartment, three small bags containing under 50 grams of marijuana, various drug paraphernalia including three digital scales, rolling papers, and a water bong, and a Visa debit card that did not belong to him. Thomas was processed at WWPD Headquarters and transported to the Mercer County Correction Center where he was committed. The missing juvenile was taken into protective custody and later turned over to the NJ Division of Child Protection & Permanency so that arrangements could be made for her to be returned home to South Carolina.

While inside, a locked office door was kicked open, offices were ransacked, and property including computers, monitors, and printers were thrown and/or knocked down. Cash was stolen and there was over $3,000.00 worth of property damage to the business.

DETAILS: Ptl. Fiore was detailed to the Target store for a shoplifter being detained by store Assets Protection. Investigation determined the following: Chelsea Puglisi paid $5.60 for $425.70 worth of merchandise while at the self-checkout. She did this by using pre-printed bar code labels which she attached over the real bar codes on the boxes of the items she selected. The bar codes she used had a cost of either .25 cents or .59 cents. She would scan each item at the self-checkout so as not to draw unwanted attention, and then pay for the greatly reduced total price. She also concealed additional items into her pockets. Puglisi was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.
