Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured males wanted for questioning in a business theft that occurred on Monday, January 6, 2020.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., two males entered South Street Auto Group, located at 225-227 South Street, along with a woman who was scheduled for services to her vehicle. The two males remained inside the office, while the owner and customer stepped outside. After the males left the business, the owner noticed that a bank bag containing $20,000.00 was missing from a safe.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying these suspects as part of this investigation.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about these suspects to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
