On January 6, 2020, the victim of a shooting in Wasco succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.
On Friday, January 3, 2020, at approximately 5:00 p.m., deputies from the Wasco Substation responded to a victim of a shooting in the intersection of Broadway Avenue and 12 Street. Upon arrival, deputies located a 27-year-old male suffering from a gunshot to his lower leg and additional trauma to his body. The male victim was transported to Kern Medical by helicopter.
