Members of the community are invited to attend a brief ribbon cutting event on Wednesday at 3:45 pm to celebrate the official grand opening of the new gymnasium adjacent to the 7th and Jackson Resiliency Park. The new, 6,835 square foot multi-use public gymnasium will help accommodate the growing recreation needs in the City of Hoboken, and has been incorporated into the basketball leagues for children of various ages. The gym was a community benefit included in the 7th and Jackson redevelopment agreement, along with the playground, open field, public plaza (scheduled to open later this year), and flood resiliency infrastructure.
The location of the new gymnasium is on Jackson Street between 6th and 7th Streets.
