Police Blotter December 13th-22nd

December 13

Stolen Vehicle – 11000 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 6:49 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle sometime during the evening.

Auto Burglary – 10900 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 8:31 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and removed property and damaged the ignition.

Petty Theft – 1400 block Elm St:
At 9:19 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect stole one of the wheels from the victim’s vehicle sometime during the evening.

Commercial Burglary – 510 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 4:06 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered a locked maintenance room at the apartment complex and removed property without permission.

Auto Burglary – 225 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 4:29 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack.

DUI Collision – Liberty St / Willow St:
At 5:15 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 56-year-old woman who was involved in a collision while intoxicated. The woman was arrested and later released from the police department with a citation.

Shoplifting – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 5:42 pm, an officer reports three unknown suspects entered the business and selected numerous pieces of merchandise before exiting the store without providing payment.

Driving Under the Influence – Lawrence Street at Manila Street:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

December 14

Grand Theft – 7500 block of Stockton Ave:
At 9:56 am, an officer reports the victim’s heirloom jewelry was taken from inside their home by an unknown suspect.

Shoplifting – 670 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 3:22 pm, an officer reports the arrest of two juveniles who were detained after walking out of the business with stolen property. Both juveniles were issued citations and released to their parents.

Driving Under the Influence – Kearney Street at Potrero Avenue:
A witness called the police to report they were following a possible drunk driver. An officer located the suspect vehicle and contacted the driver. The officer ultimately arrested the driver for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. The driver was booked at the ECPD and then released to a sober family member.

Pursuit – S. 55th Street at Bayview Avenue:
An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for several vehicle code violations; however, the vehicle did not pull over. The vehicle was pursued on to Interstate 80 at Ashby Avenue in the City of Berkeley, where it crashed. Four occupants of the vehicle were arrested and booked at the ECPD. A juvenile passenger in the vehicle was released to their parent, one adult was cited and released from the ECPD, and two adults were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

December 15

Grand Theft – 295 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2:22 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle sometime during the evening.

Shoplifting – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 3:16 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the business and filled a shopping cart with merchandise before exiting the store.

Grand Theft – 10800 block of San Pablo Avenue:
An officer reports that sometime during the last two days, someone stole the catalytic converter from the victim's vehicle.

December 16

Warrant Arrest – 11645 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:16 am, an officer reports the arrest of a 66-year-old male who was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The male was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

December 17

Grand Theft - 500 block of Bonnie Dr.
At 5:54 am, officers responded to the report two subjects under a vehicle. A Toyota Prius was discovered to have its catalytic converter stolen, and the suspects were not located.

Attempted Robbery – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 7:35 pm, the victim was approached by two males. One of the males tried to snatch the victim’s purse, but in the process, dropped a knife. The male picked up the knife, and the two suspects fled.

Grand theft – 500 block of Seaview Dr:
At 11:12 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave and Cutting Blvd:
At 1:34 am, an officer conducted a suspicious vehicle stop and arrested the passenger, a 54-year-old male from Richmond, for an outstanding warrant.

Auto Theft 1700 block of Eastshore Blvd:
At 12:30 pm, an officer responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. A white Ford F350 flatbed was taken in between 12/12/2019 and 12/16/2019.

December 18

Residential Burglary – 1200 block of Brewster Dr.
At 4:27 pm, an officer responded to the report of an alarm. The officer discovered a front window broken by a pellet along with handprints on several windows of the vacant home. It appears the suspect shattered the window and then reached in and tried to open it but was unsuccessful.

Auto Burglary – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 7:43 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered a window on the victim’s vehicle and removed a backpack containing clothing.

Auto Burglary – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 8:07 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect shattered a window to the victim’s vehicle and rummaged through the interior but did not take any property.

Auto Burglary x2 – 1600 block of Kearney St:
At 8:50 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window out on one vehicle and then removed the window from another. The suspect searched the cars but did not take any property.

December 19

Grand Theft – 7300 block of Hotchkiss Dr:
At 4:20 pm, an officer responded to the report of a catalytic converter theft. An unidentified suspect stole the catalytic converter from a 2008 Toyota Prius in between Monday and the 19th.

Warrant Arrest – Central Ave and San Joaquin St:
At 1:14 am, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 44-year-old female from Richmond, for an outstanding warrant. The female was taken into custody and transported to the county jail.

Friday, December 20:

Petty Theft – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:50 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed an unsecured welder from the bed of the victim’s pickup truck.

Theft from Vehicle – 6600 block of Central Ave:
At 10:30 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed miscellaneous paperwork from the glove box.

Vandalism – 10200 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 1:30 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke several windows to the victim’s vehicle.

Shoplifting – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 3:12 pm, an officer reports the private person’s arrest of a 19-year-old woman who was detained by store security for shoplifting. The woman was later given a citation and released at the scene.

Forgery – 11299 San Pablo Ave:
At 4:03 pm, an officer reports a known suspect entered the business one month prior and passed a check, which was later determined to be fictitious.

Vandalism – 600 block of Elm Street:
An officer responded for the report that someone had broken a window on a vehicle and was scared off by a witness.

Saturday, December 21:

Theft – 3300 block of Santa Clara Ave:
At 12:17 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect broke a window to the victim’s vehicle and removed a speaker and pocket knife from the vehicle.

Grand Theft – 6500 block of Manila Ave:
At 3:49 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the catalytic converter from underneath the victim’s vehicle sometime during the night.

Assault – 420 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 4:47 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect threw a product at an employee after being denied service.

Petty Theft – 400 block of Sea view Dr:
At 5:12 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect removed the rear license plate from the victim’s vehicle.

Auto Burglary – 10422 San Pablo Avenue:
An officer responded to the report that someone had broken a window to the victim’s vehicle and stole property from inside.

Sunday, December 22:

Shoplifting – 11687 San Pablo Ave:
At 7:54 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the business and removed $200 worth of cigarettes from a display before fleeing the area in a vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle – 2300 block of Tamalpais Ave:
At 8:26 am, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle sometime during the night and removed loose change from the interior.

Vehicle Theft, Probation Violation – Fairmont Ave / Liberty St:
At 2:09 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 27-year-old man who was detained by the victim after attempting to steal a vehicle. The man, who was also on county probation, was booked at the ECPD and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Drug Possession – San Pablo Ave / Cutting Blvd:
At 4:05 pm, an officer reports the arrest of a 26-year-old man who was found to have a small quantity of methamphetamine. The man was later issued a citation and released from the scene.

Vandalism – 5920 Cutting Blvd:
At 4:20 pm, an officer reports an unknown male entered the restaurant and was upset with his service. The man damaged a point of sale and other property inside the business before walking off.

Auto Burglary – 10264 San Pablo Avenue (El Mono):
An officer went to the report that an unknown suspect had shattered a window on a vehicle and stole property from inside it between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm.

Vandalism – 3200 block of Carlson Blvd:
An officer went to a call where two unknown suspects had punctured twelve tires on two separate trucks that were parked.

Auto Burglary – 10100 block of San Pablo Avenue (HK Kitchen):
An officer went to a call where an unknown suspect had shattered a window to a vehicle and stole property from inside it between 5:40 pm and 6:45 pm.
