“A WALK IN HER SHOES,” HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS EXHIBIT

The Soroptimist Club of Simi Valley and Adventist Health Simi Valley are hosting the “A Walk in Her Shoes” exhibit at Adventist Health Simi Valley from Thursday, January 9th, 2020 to Sunday, January 19th, 2020. The exhibit is open to the public and will be displayed in Whitman Chapel and the main lobby. The exhibit will depict 10 stories of women who were all trafficked and how they were able to escape and redirect their lives.

Hours of Operation:

Monday – Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Additional Information:

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. It affects all populations: adults, children, men, women, foreign nationals and U.S. citizens, and all economic classes. The Simi Valley Police Department supports the efforts of the Soroptimist Club of Simi Valley and Adventist Health Simi Valley to increase awareness and educate the community about the human trafficking epidemic.
