* Flood Watch for portions of central Alabama, including the following areas, in central Alabama, Blount, Jefferson, St. Clair, and Walker. In northeast Alabama, Cherokee and Etowah. In northwest Alabama, Marion and Winston. In west central Alabama, Fayette, Greene, Lamar, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.

* From Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon

* An extended period of rain could result in totals of 2 to 4 inches across the area of concern. Locally higher totals are possible.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHEROKEE ... ETOWAH ... FAYETTE ... SUMTER ... WINSTON ... GREENE ... LAMAR ... MARION ... JEFFERSON ... ST. CLAIR ... BLOUNT ... TUSCALOOSA ... PICKENS ... WALKER
