A water main has broken in the left and center lanes near Rte. 1 South and Redwood Ave and has closed Rte. 1 South from Redwood Ave to Plainfield Ave and will require a detour of traffic for the next an unknown period of time, Suggested alternate routes are Rte. 27 South from 287 to Rte. 18 in New Brunswick. Gridlock conditions are present and traffic crossing at Old Post Rds and Wooding Ave are effected. Please plan an alternate route.
