Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public's help in identifying the below pictured female suspect in connection with a theft that occurred on Friday, December 27, 2019.

At 8:10 a.m., a female inside a business at 520 Broad Street stole $300.00 from the wallet of a victim inside the shop.

Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance video depicting the female suspect. While detectives investigating this incident are actively seeking this suspect, we request the public's help in quickly identifying her as part of this investigation.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about this suspect to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
