Press Release: Suspect Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, Sales of Narcotics, and Probation Violation

DATE: December 23, 2019
LOCATION: 1240 Block Great Mall Drive, Milpitas
CASE #: 19-357-211
SUSPECT: Grace Marie Naffa, 29-year old San Jose resident
SUSPECT VEHICLE: 2004 Gray Infiniti FX

On December 23, 2019, at approximately 09:45 P.M., Great Mall of the Bay Area (GMBA) security found an unoccupied, suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Great Mall. Mall security saw a large amount of merchandise with security censors still attached inside the vehicle, and a pair of pliers on the dashboard.

Milpitas Police officers responded within minutes to investigate. Officers conducted surveillance on the vehicle. Grace Marie Naffa, a 29-year old San Jose resident, returned to the vehicle and started to drive away. Officers stopped Naffa and discovered she was on Santa Clara County probation for a narcotics violation and had a misdemeanor warrant for narcotics-related offenses.

Officers found illegal prescription pills, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia associated with the sales of narcotics. Officers also found stolen merchandise with security sensors and stolen credit cards. Naffa was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for felony possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of drugs with the intent to sale, a probation violation, driving on a suspended license, and her misdemeanor warrant.

The Milpitas Police Department would like to thank Great Mall security for their continued partnership and support. This was a great example of security staff being vigilant, and helping us identify criminal activity.
