On Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at approximately 7:30 a.m., deputies from the Wasco City Substation were dispatched to a theft in progress in the 1700 block of Highway 46 in Wasco. Two suspects fled the area on bicycles prior to deputies' arrival. During an area search, deputies located Eduardo Saucedo, 29 from Wasco, who was determined to be one of the suspects.
Saucedo was arrested and booked at the Kern County Jail for attempted burglary, vandalism, conspiracy, petty theft, and three arrest warrants. The second suspect had yet to be identified.
On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at 10:25 p.m., Wasco deputies responded to a burglary alarm in the 1200 block of Poplar Avenue. They located Joaquin Sanchez, 33 from Wasco, during this investigation. Sanchez was identified as the second unidentified suspect in the burglary from December 24 in the 1700 block of Highway 46 in Wasco.
Sanchez was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail for burglary in both cases, vandalism, conspiracy, and petty theft.
