Four (4) Arrested During a Search Warrant
On December 20, 2019 at about 8:00 PM the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in the 8000 Block of Greer Rd in Jenny Lind. The warrant was part of a continuing investigation of a robbery that occurred on December 18th, 2019 in Valley Springs.
During the search warrant deputies encountered non-compliant persons who failed to exit the residence. Deputies attempted to negotiate via telephone however, the people inside of the residence failed to comply. Entry was eventually made into the residence where suspect Rudy Moreno (42 years old), Amber Moreno (39 Years old), Rudy Moreno JR (20years old) and Deborah Silva (63 years Old) were located and arrested. Deputies also contacted a juvenile (10 years old) inside the residence.
Rudy Moreno, Amber Moreno, Rudy Moreno JR and Deborah Silva were arrested for charges unrelated to the original robbery investigation. They were booked into the county jail for Penal Code 273A (A) (child endangerment) and Penal Code 148(a) (resisting and delaying a peace officer in the performance of their duties). Rudy Moreno Jr and Deborah Silva were booked and released with a citation to appear in court. Rudy Moreno and Amber Moreno posted $100,000 bail each and were released.
