JPD Announces Promotion 
The Janesville Police Department announces the promotion of Lieutenant Chad A. Pearson.
On December 18, 2019 the Janesville Police and Fire Commission approved the promotion of Sergeant Chad A. Pearson to Lieutenant effective December 19, 2019.
Lieutenant Pearson is a twenty one year veteran of the Janesville Police Department. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and is a graduate of the Wisconsin Command College. Lieutenant Pearson will be attending the FBI National Academy’s 280th class in 2020. Lieutenant Pearson has experience in the following areas; Field Training Program, Patrol Division officer and sergeant, Street Crimes Unit officer and sergeant, Domestic Violence Intervention Team sergeant, Radio Equipment supervisor, and the department’s Mentoring Program.
Lieutenant Pearson will be honored in a promotion ceremony at the Police Department on December 27, 2019 at 11a.m.
