This afternoon we gathered to say farewell and happy retirement to Lt. Marcus Perez.
Lt. Perez is retiring after 31 years of law enforcement service. Prior to coming to Pomona, Lt. Perez served 5 years with the Los Angeles Police Department. In 1993, he lateraled to Pomona PD and has dedicated the past 26 years to serving the residents of Pomona.
Lt. Perez served in many roles during his career including assignments on Patrol, the Major Narcotics Unit and the Gang Violence Suppression Unit, Youth Services Unit, Detective Bureau, K9 Manager, and most recently, Watch Commander.
Lt. Perez, thank you for your time and dedication to serving the people of Pomona. We wish you the best of luck with the next chapter of your life. You will be missed.
