Cold Blue Alert in effect for the Capital Region thru Sat 12/21! 
A Code Blue Extreme alert has been issued for Wed. Dec 18th thru Sat. Dec 21st with “real feel temps” expected to reach as low as -18 degrees.
What is Code Blue?
Code Blue is a program designed to reduce barriers for homeless people seeking shelter. It is called when the temperature is expected to be 32 degrees or less (including wind chill.)
Homeless residents of Albany County in need of shelter can go to:
- Capital City Rescue Mission at 259 South Pearl Street 12202
- Council of Churches Overflow Shelter at 646 State Street 12206 (Lutheran Church)
- IPH Safe Haven at 26 South Swan Street 12210
