Santa Ana City Hall Will Be Closed Dec. 24 through Jan. 1

The City of Santa Ana will have an extended closure over the holidays.

City Hall will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019, through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020. It will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020.

Police, fire and other emergency services will operate normally during this time. Dial 911 for emergencies.

To request service for issues including water and sewer leaks, street signal outages, street maintenance and hazards, and fallen trees and branches, call the Public Works hotline at (714) 647-3380. Construction projects in the public right-of-way will be working from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 26-31. To report any issues, call (714) 615-0892.

Additional service information over the extended holiday closure:
• Street sweeping: There will be no street sweeping on Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve), Dec. 25 (Christmas) and Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day). Regular schedule on other days.
• Trash service: On Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, trash collection will be delayed for one day. Regular schedule on other days.
• Sandbags: : The City of Santa Ana Corporate Yard is open every day over the holidays offering free sandbags for Santa Ana residents and businesses in case of rain. The Corporate Yard is at 215 S. Center St., Santa Ana. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Evidence of residence must be provided at the security gate for 10 prefilled sandbags, and an additional 20 sandbags will be provided if you fill them.
• Utilities billing: Payments can be made online at www.santa-ana.org/mus. Payments also may be deposited in the drop box or kiosk located outside the entrance to City Hall. Payments mailed over the holidays will be received and processed during the holiday break.
• Business license payments: Business license payments due on Dec. 31 will be considered paid on time if paid by the end of business on Jan. 2 or paid by mail and postmarked Jan. 2. They can be paid online at www.santa-ana.org/businesstaxbillpay or placed in the drop box or kiosk located outside the entrance to City Hall.
• Dog license payments: Dog license payments that are due over the holiday break will be considered paid on time if paid by the end of business on Jan. 2 or paid by mail and postmarked Jan. 2. They can be paid online at www.santa-ana.org/doglicensepayment or deposited in the drop box or kiosk located outside the entrance to City Hall.
• Libraries: Closed during the holiday break.
• Senior Centers: Santa Ana Senior Center is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 26, 27, 30 and 31. It will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Southwest Senior Center will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 3.
• Community Centers: Community centers will be closed Dec. 23 through Jan. 3. Centennial Park Reservations Administration will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 23-24, Dec. 26 and Dec. 30-31.
• Cabrillo Tennis Center: Closed Dec. 25. Open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Regular hours on other days.
• Santa Ana Zoo: Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Regular hours on other days.
• Bowers Museum: Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Closing at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24. Regular hours on other days.
