Winter Weather Advisory until 03:00AM Tuesday

...A Wintry Mix of Precipitation Continues Over Portions of Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois Tonight... The Winter Weather Advisory has been extended until 3 AM for portions of southeast Missouri and southern Illinois, mainly along and northwest of a line from Doniphan and Cape Girardeau Missouri to Marion and Mount Carmel Illinois.

* WHAT...Expect freezing rain and drizzle to be the main types of precipitation. Some areas of sleet and snow will continue. As temperatures fall further below freezing tonight, road conditions may deteriorate. Additional ice accumulations tonight will be one tenth inch or less.

* WHERE...The advisory includes portions of southeast Missouri and southern Illinois, generally along and north of a line from Doniphan to Cape Girardeau Missouri, through Marion Illinois to Mt. Carmel Illinois.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions, primarily on bridges and overpasses. Bridges tend to freeze first because of a lack of ground warmth beneath them.
