On December 15, 2019, at 10:46 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were flagged down to the Superior Meds Marijuana Dispensary at 2009 Niles Street for a person needing medical attention.
Deputies located an adult man suffering from some obvious traumatic injuries. They initiated CPR until the medical personnel arrived, but the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives assumed the investigation.
