Winter Storm Warning

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO
MIDNIGHT CST MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
  accumulations of 5 to 8 inches and ice accumulations of up to
  one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central and northeast
  Missouri.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to midnight CST Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Monday morning or evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates could exceed 1 inch per hour
  at times. Temperatures remaining in the upper 20s on Sunday and
  Sunday night will aid in the rapid accumulation of snow,
  especially on untreated roads, bridges, and overpasses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and/or ice are forecast. Strong winds are also possible.
If travel is necessary, make sure to exercise extreme caution.
Begin your travel with a full tank of gas, and carry a winter
storm kit which includes a shovel, flashlight, cellphone, food
and water, and blankets of extra warm clothing.
