Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Brentwood last night.
Alejo Surpicio was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry southbound on Washington Avenue, south of Heyward Street, when his vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was attempting to cross the avenue from west to east at 10:30 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has yet to be identified, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries. Surpicio, 51, of Brentwood, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
