Jackson Police is pleased to announce Tracye Chapman as Employee of the Month for the Month of December. Ms. Chapman has been employed with the Jackson Police Department for thirty years and is currently assigned to the Warrants and Court Division of the department.
Ms. Chapman is described as the glue that holds the unit together. She works numerous hours to ensure the unit is efficient and streamlined. She scrubs the warrants/morning jail report for compliance, seeks out supervisors for revisions if needed, schedules transports, ensure warrants are filed properly, coordinates with other law enforcement agencies, and completes numerous other duties at City Court and the Criminal Justice Complex. She accomplishes all of these duties with a smile and a "hello" for everyone with whom she comes in contact with.
She is a very valuable member of the team. In many ways she exceeds the expectations for this award. Her "behind the scenes" efforts have not gone unnoticed. Her experience and wealth of knowledge makes her reliable and able to guide her coworkers.
Over the years, despite her busy schedule, Ms. Chapman has always taken the time to answer any questions and guide others in the right direction. She may not be aware of it, but she has been and is a talented teacher in the eyes of others.
Every time you come in contact with Tracye, she is smiling. Her smile is contagious. It is an honor to work with her and witness her recognition as the Jackson Police Department's Employee of the Month.
