2nd Precinct Commander Captain M. Leroux, along with Executive Officer Lt. G. Rodriguez and Community Service Officer J. Molina, surprised two lucky children with brand new bicycles last week during the precinct's Thanksgiving Surprises events.

During the events, families selected by area principals, vice principals and parent liaisons, were gifted with various food items, toys and backpacks filled with school supplies. The families were also given free turkeys contributed by the City of Newark and $10.00 Shoprite gift cards from Special Victims Unit Detective M. Lebron.

Several of the donated toys were provided by Sergeant J. Bright and the turkey pickup was completed with the assistance of Sergeant S. Martin.
