Female suspect brought drugs into jail 
Sgt. Tammy Davis of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Angela Dell Compton, 40, address listed as Harrison Terrace in Marion, with possession of a controlled substance in jail.
Compton was an inmate in the McDowell County jail. On Sunday, Nov. 3, detention officers received information that Compton had narcotics on her.
A subsequent search of the suspect revealed 1 gram of marijuana.
