Full Notification

Central Avenue will be closed in multiple locations on Friday, December 6, 2019.  Detours will be in place in the area of Hereford Inlet Lighthouse starting at 3:30 PM for the City Christmas Tree Lighting.  Central Avenue will remain open to southbound traffic in this area but it will be closed northbound between 1^st and Walnut Avenues until approximately 6:30 PM.
Central Avenue and the east/west side streets will be closed from 9^th to 16^th Avenues in both directions starting at 4:30 PM for the lineup for the Jaycees Christmas Parade.  The southbound lane of Central Avenue will be closed from 16^th to 26^th Avenues starting at 6:00 PM with the northbound lane of Central Avenue remaining open. Traffic will not be able to go east on those streets from New Jersey Avenue.  9^th, 16^th and 26^th Avenues will remain open streets.
