On December 4, 2019, Shorewood Police responded for two separate burglaries that occurred between 2:00 am and 6:00 am in the 4000 block of N Richland Ct, and the 4100 block of N Downer Ave respectively. In both cases, entry was made to the respective home via an unlocked door and items were removed from the home. In one case a vehicle was taken from the garage of the residence using keys that were obtained from inside the home.

We would like to encourage our residents to secure their homes, vehicles, and valuables in order to made it more difficult for thieves to obtain them. We also encourage our residents to uses products such as home security systems, motion activated lights and security cameras to enhance the overall security of their home.
