Franklin Road has been closed to all traffic between Sunset Trail and Hussa Place due to a gas main break. Utility crews are on scene and repairs are ongoing. At this time, there is no reason to evacuate any of the surrounding residences, but Franklin Road is expected to remain closed through and possibly beyond the evening rush hour as all repairs are completed. Marked detours will be in place.

In addition to the closure between Sunset Trail and Hussa Place, southbound traffic on Franklin Road between Route 46 and Sunset Trail will be limited to local residential traffic only. If you normally travel through this area, you should expect delays and should plan an alternate route until such time as the roadway can be re-opened.
