* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches this morning. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of several feet above 7000 feet and a few inches from 5000 to 7000 feet possible Saturday night into Monday. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph on exposed ridgetops and along the crest.
* WHERE...Southern Sierra Nevada.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, valid until 10 AM PST this morning. For the Winter Storm Watch, valid from Saturday afternoon through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Hazardous road conditions will impact the morning commute. If you plan to travel, consider alternate strategies. Wind chill readings of as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
