Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that on 11/28/2019 at 0644, his office was called and investigated personal injury crash that occurred on Mason St. near Gordon Road, in Mason Township, Cass County Michigan. 44-year-old Edwardsburg resident, Jonathan Wagers, was traveling eastbound, when his vehicle ran off the roadway striking a mailbox and then a tree. Mr. Wagers was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, it is unknown if any intoxicating substances contributed to the causation of this crash. Seat belt was worn. This case remains under investigation.
