Portions of the Township's center business district are currently experiencing a power outage or brown out conditions (reduced power). As a result, several businesses in the center of town, to include some restaurants, may be affected. You should call ahead if planning to utilize any downtown business this evening to ensure they are open and operating.

In addition, the power outage has also disabled the traffic signal at the intersection or Route 46 and Bloomfield Avenue. As a result, traffic patterns at the intersection have been limited to prevent any u or left turns.

Many street lights in the area have also been affected. As a result, please be extra mindful of any pedestrians who may be walking along or crossing the street.

JCP&L has been notified and is currently working to identify and repair the issue causing the outages. At this point in time, restoration of power is not expected until approximately 6:30pm. However, this timetable is subject to change and power may be restored in either a shorter or longer time period.
