Alcohol Compliance Checks 
On November 14, 2019 Officers from the Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit along with volunteers from Janesville Mobilizing for Change partnered to conduct compliance checks in the Janesville area liquor stores. Checks were completed at 24 liquor stores in Janesville. Four stores were found to be in violation of City Ordinance 5.06.010 adopting State Statute 125.07(1)(a)1, which prohibits the sale of alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.
Citations were issued to clerks at the following four locations.
