The manhunt for a brutal child molester and rapist has finally come to an end.  This morning around 6am a member of Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite Fugitive Squad along with U.S. Marshals found Michael Milek Cooper at a residence in Smyrna Ga.  Once Investigators were able to confirm that Cooper was inside the home along with a female they also confirmed that there was a handgun inside the residence.  Multiple commands were given for Cooper to exit the residence, but he refused.  Investigators made entry into the bedroom window and found Cooper hiding under a mattress between a bed and the bedroom wall.  Following a struggle, Cooper was taken into custody. 

Cooper made Sheriff Victor Hill’s Top Ten Most Wanted between February 2019 and March 2019 when he raped and molested two female juvenile victims aged fourteen and sixteen in the city of Love Joy.  Cooper had forcible vaginal sexual contact with the fourteen-year-old victim.  Cooper had forcible vaginal and anal sexual contact with the sixteen-year-old victim, forcing her lie on her back or her stomach while he held his hand over her mouth.   In addition, Cooper maliciously caused bodily harm to the sixteen-year-old victim by taking a heated steam iron and making contact with the victim’s skin.  The resulting injuries disfigured the skin of the victim’s lower back and right upper hip and lower stomach area, causing permanent scars. 

Cooper is charged with Aggravated Battery, Cruelty to Children-Causes Excessive Physical or Mental Pain-1st Degree, Child Molestation, Rape Statutory, and Aggravated Sodomy-Commit Sodomy with Force and Against Person’s Will or Person is Less than Legal Age. 

Cooper has earned a long vacation at the luxurious “Hill-ton” where he will practice every day how to face the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.
