Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that on 11/20/2019 at approximately 1357 hrs, his deputies responded to a personal injury crash that occurred on Peavine Street and Sink Rd., Pokagon Township. A truck driven by Luis Lopez-Villalobos of Benton Harbor [22 years old] was sitting at a stop sign and then pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Rochelle Reppart of Berrien Springs [69 years old]. Ms. Reppart was transported by Pride Care ambulance to Borgess Lee Hospital for her injuries.

Departments that assisted on scene were Pokagon Fire, Pokagon Tribal Police, Barry’s Towing, Pride Care Ambulance, and Trues Towing.

This crash is under investigation, seatbelts were used, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
