PG&E Power Shutoff in east Santa Rosa from Wed AM to Thur; Red Flag Warning in Upper Elevations starting 4AM Weds

PG&E plans to shut off power to approximately 4,800 customers (roughly 15,000 residents) in areas within the eastern Santa Rosa city limits as early as 7 a.m. Wednesday, (11/20), unless conditions change. PG&E anticipates that restoration of power may begin on Thursday (11/21) at around 8am. PG&E has indicated that they will make every effort to restore power by Thursday night (11/21). Use PG&E’s address lookup tool to enter your address in searchable map to determine whether or not you are impacted at psps.ss.pge.com/ The City of Santa Rosa’s Emergency Operation Center has been activated to respond to the needs of the community during the event. Additional PG&E updates can be found at www.pge.com/pspsupdates During an extended PSPS or power outage, our ability to alert residents could be impacted. Learn about the use of Hi/Lo sirens for emergency alerting and preplan evacuation routes by visiting srcity.org/knowyourwaysout Anticipated Traffic Signal Outages and Driver Safety Multiple intersections are expected to be without power including during the afternoon rush-hour commute. Public Safety officials urge drivers to reduce speeds, drive with caution and treat all inspections without power as a 4-way stop, per state law. Stop signs will be staged at intersections to help remind drivers that they must stop at intersections where signals are out. Red Flag Warning A Red Flag Warning will be in effect for the North Bay Mountains above 1000 feet from 4am on Wednesday (11/20) to 7am on Thursday (11/21). The Santa Rosa Fire Department, in coordination with local public safety agencies across the County, are up-staffing in response to the Red Flag Warning. The Santa Rosa Fire Department is staffing an additional engine and an extra battalion chief.
