Public Safety Power Shutoff planned for Wednesday, Nov 20th Message #1

Parts of Marin County are expected to be affected by PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) on Wednesday, November 20th. As of right now we do not have a firm shut-off time. The exact neighborhoods that will lose power is still unknown, however PG&E has provided a map of the potentially impacted areas (see attached) You can view it in greater detail on their website at https://www.arcgis.com/apps/View/index.html?appid=7ba0df4ffd8f4fe9859c9cac519b710f

For a specific address look-up, please go to the PG&E page at https://psps.ss.pge.com/

Once the power goes out, we will open our Larkspur station community room as a charging center and it will remain open 24 hours a day. The San Anselmo, Larkspur, and Corte Madera libraries will be open during their normal business hours and charging is also available at those locations.

We’re sharing the most current information we’ve been provided by PG&E, but keep in mind that this is a fluid situation and subject to change. We will keep you updated as we receive more information, but please do not call 9-1-1 or police and fire non-emergency lines to ask about the PSPS. Our call takers do not have any additional information. Instead, go to PG&E’s website:
https://www.pge.com/en_US/safety/emergency-preparedness/natural-disaster/wildfires/public-safety-power-shutoff-faq.page and visit this page for a list of ways to prepare: https://www.ready.gov/power-outages
