Narrative: |
On 11-03-19, at approximately 1140 hours, deputies assigned to the West County Headquarters Patrol Station responded to a robbery at “The Corner Store” located at 2425 Roosevelt Boulevard, in the beach community of Silver Strand. Two male suspects wearing masks entered the store with a baseball bat and demanded money, alcohol, tobacco products, and lottery tickets from the clerk. The suspects fled the store with the stolen goods and entered a vehicle waiting a short distance away. An alert off-duty Ventura County Probation Officer noticed the suspicious activity as the suspects fled the area and video recorded the suspect vehicle fleeing. This video was provided to the Sheriff’s Advanced Real Time Information Center (ARTIC), who was able to identify the suspect vehicle.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Gang Unit and West County Patrol detectives responded shortly after the incident to assist with the investigation. Through the course of the investigation, the suspects were identified by detectives.
On 11-08-2018, Gang Unit Investigators contacted Danny Jacuinde at his residence during a probation search. Evidence from the robbery was located at the residence. Jacuinde was taken into custody for his involvement in the robbery. A second gang associate was also contacted at the residence and was arrested for an out of county felony warrant for robbery.
On 11-08-19, Sheriff’s Gang Unit detectives located Kevin Andrade in the city of Ventura and arrested him for his involvement in the robbery. Detectives served a search warrant at Andrade’s residence in the City of Port Hueneme.
On 11-13-19, Sheriff’s Gang Unit detectives arrested a 17 year old male for his involvement in the robbery, along with a second gang associate for possession of a dangerous weapon. With the assistance of the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail, detectives served a search warrant at the juvenile’s residence in the city of Oxnard.
Evidence from all of the search warrants served linked Andrade, Jacuinde, and the juvenile to the robbery. Detectives also identified all three subjects as gang members from an Oxnard criminal street gang.
Andrade was booked into custody at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Main Jail for violation of PC 211- Robbery, PC 182- Conspiracy To Commit A Crime, and PC 186.22(A)(1) –Street Terrorism. Andrade remains in custody with bail set at $120,000.00.
Jacuinde was booked into custody at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Main Jail for violation of PC 211- Robbery, PC 182- Conspiracy To Commit A Crime, and PC 186.22(A)(1) –Street Terrorism. Andrade remains in custody with bail set at $120,000.00.
The 17 year old male was lodged at Juvenile Justice Center for violation of PC 211- Robbery, PC 182- Conspiracy To Commit A Crime, and PC 186.22(A)(1) –Street Terrorism. |
