Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 11/15/2019 at approximately 0400 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on US-12 near Kessington Rd., Mason Township, Cass County Michigan. Jeanie Sue Haines, 50 y/o resident of Edwardsburg, MI was driving east on US-12 when she struck a deer that ran into the roadway causing her airbags to deploy. Mrs. Haines sustained minor injuries and was transported to Elkhart General for medical care. Seat belts were worn.
