Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announces that drivers in the area of Routes 1 & 9 at Wilson Avenue and Delancey Street, and at Route 280 off Orange Street should anticipate delays due to road construction during the following times:

• 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, November 14
Road work will be underway at Stockton Street at Delancey Street

• 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, November 15
Road work will be conducted at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard at Orange Street

Drivers traveling in these areas are advised to allow extra time and to plan alternate routes.

Director Ambrose thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this construction event. He also urges anyone with information regarding any criminal or suspicious activities to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
