1st Precinct School Resource Officer Eley Hosts Community Shoe and Clothing Drive with Assistance from Newark Police Division Members 
1st Precinct School Resource Officer K. Eley hosted a community shoe drive, offering shoes and clothing from her very own closet.
Joining Officer Eley during the event, held last Friday, were Newark Council President Mildred C. Crump, 2nd Precinct Community Service Officer T. Rich and 2nd Precinct School Resource Officer V. Rivera.
Other Newark Police Division members participating in the event included: 3rd Precinct School Resource Officer A. Hart; Detectives J. Miles and Y. Mitchell of Clergy/Community Affairs; 4th Precinct Community Service Officer B. Burrows and 5th Precinct School Resources Officer G. Tanner. The officers donated clothing items, jackets, sneakers and provided free coffee, donuts and candy to community members who visited their tables.
More than 75 community members visited the drive and received free items.
