Wilmington Police recover stolen vehicle, arrest 24-year-old man: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a 24-year-old man and recovered a stolen vehicle.
On November 7 at approximately 2:08 a.m., police officers were on proactive patrol in the 700 block of Kirkwood Street when they observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area. Officers learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen.
After the initial officers lost sight of the vehicle, additional responding units located two individuals in a nearby alleyway. As officers approached, 24-year-old Xavier Purnell attempted to discard the keys to the vehicle. Officers recovered the vehicle in an alleyway behind a residence in the 700 block of North Kirkwood Street.
Purnell was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with Driving While Suspended or Revoked, and with Receiving Stolen Property. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $3,000 unsecured bail.
